UA Student-Produced Online Magazine Wins International Award

Advertising and public relations students are pegged as the creative types most of the time, and Tracy Sims, a public relations instructor, knew the students in her online magazine writing class would fit this label.

Sims’ class produces Platform, an online magazine for other PR students, educators and practitioners nationwide. And now, only one year after being launched, Platform has received a gold award in the 2008 Hermes Creative Awards for the Web site overall category.
