School of Social Work Hosts First Men’s Issues Conference

Women’s studies. Women’s rights. Women’s resources. Women’s empowerment. These are all topics discussed in professional and academic institutions around the world.

But this month, the UA School of Social Work turns its attention to men, hosting “Caring, Sharing and Preparing to Serve: The First Conference on Social Work With and For Men.”

“Caring about humanity, which includes men; sharing knowledge that is out there; and preparing to serve, to go out into the world,” said Barbara Chandler, assistant professor of social work, of the conference title.
