Hoole Library Receives Unique Collection of Books Inscribed by Helen Keller

By Deidre Stalnaker

"These are so cool!” said Jessica Lacher-Feldman, W. S. Hoole Special Collections Library outreach services coordinator, while thumbing through a mound of books written and signed by legendary activist Helen Keller and donated by a UA alumna.

The compilation of books, which is on display in the Hoole Library, was donated by Betsy Plank, a 1944 graduate of UA, who has attained national and international stature during a distinguished career in public relations. The UA Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations is named in her honor.
