The Agnostics: A talk and reading with novelist Wendy Rawlings

Lecture on Global Sustainability
Dr. Rajan Gupta of the Los Alamos National Laboratory will present “Energy for All in the 21st Century,” Oct. 18, 7:30 p.m., 127 Biology Building. Gupta’s lecture is the first in the Alabama Perspectives on Sustainability and Climate Change lecture series sponsored by UA’s College of Arts and Sciences and its department of physics and astronomy.
Crow to Deliver First Mills Lecture
The first Helen Crow and John Carroll Mills Lecture at UA will be delivered by Maurice Crowe, chief executive officer of RM Crowe Realty and Development Inc., Oct. 19, 1:30 p.m., Morgan Hall Auditorium. A reception will follow in Oliver Barnard Hall. In his lecture, “Lessons in Switching to Plan B,” Crowe will discuss how he built a successful real estate and development corporation.
Tales of the Used Book Trade
