Inaugural Class for UA’s Parent Leadership Academy Kicks Off
UA is known for attracting the “best and brightest” and that goes beyond its student population. Twenty participants have been selected in the inaugural class for UA’s new Parent Leadership Academy, and one is a familiar face on campus – Bryan K. Fair, professor in the UA School of Law, who has a fourthgrader attending Rock Quarry Elementary.
Known as PLA, the academy is a year-long certificate program that aids in developing the leadership potential of parents in the West Alabama area. It kicked off its program recently with a reception and opening session at the Child Development Research Center on campus.
