Considering Retirement?UA employees who are considering retirement in the next few months should be aware that there are changes coming in the premiums for PEEHIP - the Public Education Employees Health Insurance Plan. Upcoming changes in the PEEHIP premiums will mean that employees who retire with less than 25 years of service will be required to pay more for PEEHIP coverage. This increase will be effective Oct. 1, 2005. Employees who retire by Sept. 1, 2005 will be unaffected by this premium increase. Employees who are at least age 60 and have less than 25 years of service may want to consider retiring by Sept. 1 in order to avoid the increase in premiums. For detailed information about any aspect of retirement, contact Sandra Abrams, Benefits Manager, 348-7732. You may read about the changes to PEEHIP by logging onto the PEEHIP Web site at www.rsa.state.al.us/PEEHIP/peehip.htm HR Policies RevisedTwo new policies, Overtime and Compensatory
