SACS Update: Exit Visit Complete

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools on-site team was on campus during the week before spring break, March 22-24. Dr. Michael Adams, president of the University of Georgia, is chair of the on-site team. Adams reported that The University of Alabama is now fully in compliance with the SACS Principles of Accreditation. Additionally, the site visit team had high praise and several very helpful suggestions for UA's Quality Enhancement Plan. UA will have approximately three months to prepare a final report in response to the site visit report. SACS announces its final report on UA's reaffirmation of accreditation on Dec. 6 at the SACS meeting in Atlanta.

The QEP information begins by clicking on the third column. The nucleus of the QEP is the consensus for focusing in active and collaborative learning in first-year classes, especially the large ones.
