Oct. 19-24 — Shadow of a Gunman
Poet Donal Davoren lives quietly in a Dublin tenement. His neighbors, who don't understand
his artistic musings, suspect that anyone as unusual as Donal has something to hide, and
decide that he must be an IRA gunman in hiding. While he finds this misconception intriguing,
Donal doesn't appreciate its implications until tragedy intercedes. With themes of art,
war, terrorism, and humanity's struggle to maintain sanity amidst chaos, Irish playwright
Sean O'Casey's masterwork speaks to today's audiences as directly as it did to his 1920's
contemporaries. Admission is $5. All performances are at 7:30 p.m. with the exception
of the Oct. 24 performance which will be at 2 p.m.
