Marian Gallaway Theatre, 348-3400

  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest -- Theatre production by Dale Wasserman based on the novel by Ken Kesey. Directed by Peder Melhuse. A powerful exploration of both the beauty and danger of being an original. Dates: Sept. 30-Oct. 4, 7:30 p.m., and Oct. 5, 2 p.m. Admission is $8, $10, $12.

Modern Languages and Classics Lecture

Jean-Claude Schmitt of the Ecole de Hautes Etudes de Sciences Sociales, Paris will present "Images of Time in Medieval Europe." 109 B.B. Comer Hall. Date: Sept. 15, noon.

Michael Dinoff Memorial Lecture

Dr. Frank Andrasik, senior research scientist at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition and professor of psychology at the University of West Florida, will be the guest speaker for the annual Michael Dinoff Memorial Lecture. Andrasik will discuss "Uncommon Cures for the Common Headache." 208 Gordon Palmer Hall. Date: Sept. 19, 7 p.m.

The University of Alabama: A Crucible of Race

Dr. E. Culpepper Clark, dean of the College of Communication and Information Sciences, presents "The University of Alabama: A Crucible of Race." Sponsored by the Coalition for Diversity and Inclusiveness. 340 Bidgood Hall. Date: Sept. 24, 7:30 p.m.
