News from UA Standing Committees The Office/Technical/Clerical Standing Committee at the University has an ongoing project. It is an Adopt-A-School Partner with Alberta Elementary School and Buhl Elementary School. Recently Veretta Barnes, chairperson and secretary in the School of Social Work, with committee members Vivian Liveoak of the Crimson Calling Center/Alumni Fund, Sheila Rodenberry of the Capstone International Center, and Tyrone Travis of Student Financial Aid, presented accumulated supplies from the committee's school supply drive to Alberta Elementary School and to Buhl Elementary School. Committee members were met by Mary Etta Palmer, School Social Worker; kindergarten teachers Sabrina Sentell, Andria White, Leslie Leland; and students Temperance Lyles, Christina Hawkins, Kimella Moss, Indiya Summerville, Damia Jones, Lauren Cheatum, Takyla Harris, and Jordon Owens of the student government association. The committee hopes to continue this relationship with these schools by donating supplies, time, mentoring or any needs the committee might offer. This is a good time of year to donate school supplies, before the school year opens. The Office, Clerical and Technical Committee represents a large number of employees on campus. Current membership:
