Dr. William Keel, UA professor of astronomy, will talk about his recently
published book, "The Road to Galaxy Formation."
- April 24 -- Bankhead Visiting Writers Series: Robert Hass, Bryant
Conference Center, 8 p.m.
Former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Hass is the author of "Field Guide,"
"Praise," "Human Wishes" and "Sun Under Wood."
He has also written a book of essays, translated many works by Nobel
Prize winning poet Czeslaw Milosz, and edited volumes of poetry. He
is the founder of River of Words, an organization dedicated to the promotion
of environmental and arts education. A one-time recipient of the Yale
Younger Poets Prize, he is a professor of English at the University
of California, Berkeley. Hass will read from his new and selected poetry.
