Hot Off the Press -- Annual Research Magazine

Its cover story focuses on some of the many ways UA is contributing to the automotive industry, which is playing an increasingly large role in the region's economy. Inside the magazine, stories range from a geologist whose work adds knowledge to the global warming debate to a new, interdisciplinary center designed to coordinate and expand UA's efforts to assist the elderly, and those who care for them, with their mental health needs.

The magazine is distributed to key external constituents as a means of reinforcing the University's image as a growing, student-centered research institution. Published by the Office of University Relations, the magazine has been produced for six consecutive years.

Copies of the magazine will be distributed to all UA faculty. For additional copies, on a limited basis, contact the Office of Marketing Communications at 348-5767. The magazine will also be available on the Web at http://research.ua.edu/.
