Fall Campus Meeting and Appreciation Day Detailed

UA interim President Barry Mason will address the annual fall faculty and staff meeting Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. in Morgan Auditorium. The announcement and introduction of the winners of the prestigious National Alumni Association's 2002-2003 Outstanding Commitment to Teaching Award (OCTA) and the recipients of the Sam S. May Award will both be part of the meeting. Attendees will be treated to box lunches to enjoy on the Quad at tables set up for the occasion. All faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.

Family Weekend 2002 is Sept. 27-29

Participants enjoying Family Weekend at UAUA faculty and staff can help make this third annual Family Weekend another huge success. Students and their families will be all across campus, where they will be in contact with people, places and events. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend some of the events. A special feature of this year's Family Weekend is a dance rehearsal by professor of dance Cornelius Carter, named National Professor of the Year for 2001-02 by the Carnegie Foundation and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
