ROAD CLOSURES
Sixth Avenue — Sixth Avenue from University Boulevard to the stop sign near Smith Hall will close today. Traffic going west on Margaret Drive will not be impacted. Click here to view a campus map.

Colonial Drive — Colonial Drive from University Boulevard to Bryant Drive will close today for resurfacing, weather permitting. The road is expected to reopen Tuesday, June 19. Click here to view a campus map.

EXCHANGE 2010 UPGRADE — On Wednesday, June 20, the Office of Information Technology will upgrade UA’s Exchange server to Exchange 2010. Anyone who begins receiving errors when accessing their mail clients on June 20 should click here for detailed instructions on how to change their server information within their mail clients. Anyone who continues to have issues should contact the IT Service Desk at itsd@ua.edu or 205-348-5555.

NEW LISTSERV HOST NAME — The Office of Information Technology has changed the preferred Listserv host name from “bama.ua.edu” to “listserv.ua.edu.” Existing lists will accept email messages under either host name, but new lists will work only with listserv.ua.edu. People who use Listserv should update their contacts and bookmarks to reflect the change. People who use rules to sort or filter email messages they receive from Listserv may need to update their rules if they contain references to the host name bama.ua.edu. DISTRIBUTION DATE FOR WELLBAMA REWARD CARDS — WellBama Rewards $25 Visa cards will be distributed, along with 2012 WellBama T-shirts, at Rose Administration Building (basement), Wednesday, June 20, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. All participants must present their individual Action Cards in order to receive their rewards cards. CALL FOR RESEARCH VOLUNTEERS — Jessi Hitchins, a graduate student in social and cultural foundations in education at The University of Alabama, is conducting a study on the experiences of LGBTQA people who are employed at UA. She invites any UA employee who is at least 19 years of age and is self-identified as a lesbian, a gay, a bisexual, a transgender, a queer or an ally to participate in her research study. Participation is voluntary, and participants may withdraw at any time. Participants will undergo a 45-60-minute interview with Hitchins at a location of their choice. Responses will be kept confidential. The results of the study will be used for scholarly purposes only. All participants will receive a copy of the transcribed interview and have the opportunity to discuss the interpretation of the interview.
