A Time to Remember: Panel Members Recall Desegregation of UA
While Nov. 3 was a day to pay tribute to courageous trailblazers and celebrate UA’s progress, it was also a day to remember and learn as a diverse audience gathered to listen to a panel discussion about the early days of desegregation on the UA campus.
A Time to Celebrate: Integration Heroes Honored with Dedication of Clock Tower, Plaza
UA celebrated the courage of its first three African-American students – Autherine Lucy Foster, Dr. James Hood and the late Vivian Malone Jones – with the dedication of the Autherine Lucy Clock Tower and Malone-Hood Plaza on Nov. 3.
