UA to Host 2012 National Outreach Scholarship Conference
The University has been designated as the host of the annual National Outreach Scholarship Conference (NOSC) for 2012. The purpose of the conference is to provide institutions of higher learning with an opportunity to work together to enhance university-community partnerships rooted in scholarship and academic life.

Music, Crafts, Culture Highlight Annual Moundville Native American Festival
Two Native American Music Award winners – Muscogee flutist Billy Whitefox and Cherokee guitarist and vocalist Michael Jacobs – highlight this year’s Moundville Native American Festival, from Wednesday, Oct. 6 through Saturday, Oct. 9, at UA’s Moundville Archaeological Park. Festival entertainment runs from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
