The global research and technology-based company E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., Inc. has donated intellectual property patents estimated to value $8.5 million to The University of Alabama.

First ‘Kickoff on the Quad’ 2001 Coming Up

UA's first "Kickoff on the Quad" for the 2001 football season, now in its fourth year, will open the 2001 home game against UCLA. Activities begin three hours before kick-off, which will be at 6:45. ESPN will have its booth on the Quad as part of the activities.

University Libraries Announce New Service – KUDZU

The University Libraries have joined with 13 other Southeastern research libraries to implement an enhancement to traditional interlibrary loan service. KUDZU, a system of linked online catalogs, allows faculty and students to search with a single search interface the catalog of any, all, or a selection of the libraries in the group simultaneously. This new service connects users of the participating libraries to more than 23 million volumes.
